How we use AI

Short version: pages on this site are researched and drafted with the help of an AI assistant, working for the site owner, Stefán Atli Rúnarsson. Every fact on a page comes from a source page that was actually opened and is linked at the bottom of the page.
What the AI assistant does
- Opens official and operator pages (airlines, airports, Visit Greenland, the police, ferry and bus companies) and records what they say, with the date.
- Drafts the text and tables from those notes, and adds a citation to each fact.
- Flags conflicts between sources and things it could not verify.
Rules it has to follow
- No invented reviews, personal experiences, quotes, prices or facts.
- No claim without a source page that was actually opened. Where only a search-result snippet was available, the source list says so.
- Our own calculations are labelled as estimates.
- Nothing is presented as first-hand experience. Nobody from this site has "tested" a tour, hotel or airline for an article unless the page clearly says who and when.
Automatic checks
The site's build script refuses to publish a page if a paragraph, list or table states a number without a citation, if a citation points to an unknown source, or if an advertising link is unlabelled. These checks catch missing sources; they cannot prove a source is right, so errors are still possible.
Human responsibility
The site owner is responsible for what is published. If you find a mistake, please report it on the contact page; we check the report against the source and correct the page.
